About Abiel

Born in Asmara, Eritrea, and raised in the Bay Area, I am a passionate storyteller and seasoned brand marketing professional with a foundational background in global economics. Driven by a deep love for culture and narrative, I have built a career defined by a holistic commitment to the entertainment industry, both as a strategic marketer bringing premium content to global audiences, and as a creative voice in my own right.

My journey began in the independent film circuit as a writer and director. I produced my debut film, Balance, and followed it with the pilot episode of The Embrace, which premiered to high acclaim in both Los Angeles and Oakland, California. This foundational experience as a filmmaker shaped my approach to the business, anchoring my marketing career in a deep respect for the creative process.

Transitioning into global brand strategy, I began at STARZ Entertainment Corporation as an International Content Coordinator, tailoring content for diverse global markets. I then moved to FX Networks (The Walt Disney Company), serving as a strategic international liaison. In this role, I adapted regional campaigns and ensured cultural resonance for some of the network's most celebrated, award-winning titles, including Shōgun, The Bear, Snowfall, Reservation Dogs, Welcome to Wrexham, Dear Mama, and What We Do in the Shadows.

Currently, I am a Campaign Manager at Paramount: Skydance Corporation, where I manage 360° marketing campaigns for flagship franchises and tentpole programming, including South Park, The Daily Show, and major network specials.

As a proud Eritrean, my work on and off the screen is guided by a singular mission: to use my platform to amplify diverse voices and champion meaningful representation, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
